Spencer Collision Results In Minor Injuries

(Spencer)– A Three-vehicle collision Sunday on West 18th Street near the Clay County Fairgrounds in Spencer resulted in minor injuries.

Spencer police say vehicles driven by Briana Anderson of Marathon, Ashley Anderson of Marathon and Richard Loux of Eagle Grove were all westbound. Officers say Briana Anderson collided with the rear of the vehicle driven by Ashley Anderson, which in turn collided with the rear of the vehicle driven by Loux.

Ashley Anderson and a passenger in her vehicle, Brooklyn Anderson, were both taken to Spencer Hospital for treatment of minor injuries; possible injuries were reported to Loux and a passenger in his vehicle, Rozeanne Berry of Spencer. They were not transported to the hospital.

Briana Anderson was cited for failure to maintain control.

$750 in damage was estimated to a 1990 Mercury driven by Briana Anderson; $2,000 in damage was estimated to a 1999 Ford Contour driven by Ashley Anderson; and a 2002 Ford Escape driven by Loux sustained an estimated $1,000 in damage.

The collision took place around 10:00 a.m.
