(Sioux Rapids)– A single-vehicle crash early Monday afternoon on a gravel road in southern Clay county sent one person to the hospital.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old Dawn Hiatt of Marathon was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer when she lost control. The vehicle went into the east ditch and struck an embankment.
Hiatt was taken by ambulance to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake where she was treated for minor injuries.
$3,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
The crash took place shortly before 1:00 P.M.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Webb Fire and Rescue.
