(Milford)– A Milford motel was heavily damaged by fire early this (Friday) morning.

Those three people were rescued from the building and were transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare where they were treated for smoke inhalation and released.

Carpenter says an EMT from Terril sustained a minor injury after apparently cutting his head while walking under a sign.

Milford Municipal Utilities and Black Hills Energy also assisted on the scene.
Firefighters were on the scene until about 11:30 a.m. this (Fri.) morning.
