Hwy 9 Rollover Results In Minor Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A single-vehicle rollover on Thursday of last week sent one person to the hospital.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Todd Thiner of George was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Lumina eastbound on Highway nine when he fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle crossed the centerline and went into the north ditch where it rolled, coming to rest on its top.

Thiner was taken by ambulance to the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley where he was treated for minor injuries.

About a thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

Thiner was cited for failure to maintain control.

The crash took place around 6:20 a.m.
