(Undated)– The list of counties in northwest Iowa now under burning bans continues to grow.
Emmet and Osceola counties are the latest additions to the list.
Clay and Dickinson counties were granted burning bans Monday.
Burning bans are also in effect in Buena Vista, Cherokee, Ida, O’Brien, Plymouth and Sioux counties in northwest Iowa.
The bans are in effect until further notice, or until significant rain falls.
It’s expected additional counties will be added to the list in coming days due to an extremely high fire danger that continues to exist over a large part of the region.
