(Des Moines)– The Iowa DNR has named a new Chief for its Water Quality Bureau.
Shelli Grapp will take over in that position effective October 14th. She currently serves as Supervisor of the Water Supply Operations Section within the Water Quality Bureau.
Grapp succeeds Charles “Chuck” Corell who was named administrator of the Conservation and Recreation Division of the DNR in June.
Grapp has been involved in various environmental programs for more than 20 years. She also worked 12 years working in DNR field offices in Spencer and Manchester.
Grapp has a Bachelor’s Degree from San Diego State University and holds certifications in drinking water treatment and in drinking water distribution.
The DNR’s Water Quality Bureau has 85 employees with an annual budget of about $16 million.
