(Milford)—The Milford Memorial Library has a new Director.
The library’s board of trustees Wednesday appointed Susan Pratt to the position, effective December 28th.
Pratt is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where she received her degree in Library and Information Science in 2006. A Grand Rapids, Michigan native, Pratt moved to South Dakota in 2007 where she’s been Head Librarian at the Dakota Valley School District the past three and-a-half years. Prior to that, Pratt had served at two other public libraries.
Rick Kilts, President of the Milford Memorial Library Board of Trustees, says the board interviewed several candidates and narrowed the list down to Pratt, who they feel is the best fit for the community.
Pratt plans to be on hand for the library’s Holiday Fantasy activities December 2nd and 3rd.
Pratt succeeds Tena Hanson who has been named Director of the Estherville Public Library.
