(Des Moines)– House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has appointed State Representative John Wittneben of Estherville to serve on the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Committee for the 2012 legislative session.
Wittneben will also serve on the Economic Growth, Local Government (where he’s a ranking member), along with Natural Resources and Veterans Affairs Committees.
The Agriculutre and Natural Resources Budget Committee sets a one year state budget for the Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the Department of Natural Resources.
The 2012 legislative session starts January 9th.
