Clay COunty Traffic Stop Results In Arrest Of Teen On Drug Charges

(Spencer)– A traffic stop for speeding in eastern Clay County has led to the arrest of a teenage boy for drug possession.

16-year old Richard Nau of Spencer was pulled over for excessive speed on Highway 18 in Dickens. Upon searching the vehicle, the Clay County Deputy found a baggie of synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Nau. He was transported to the Clay County jail, where he was cited for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nau was eventually released to his parents.

Two other male teenagers were also in the vehicle, though neither faces criminal charges.
