Semis collide in Sioux County

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that an accident involving two semi trucks closed Highway 60 for 3 hours on Thursday, Nov. 10
The Sheriff’s Office says Bryan Reynolds, age 54 of Sioux City, IA was driving a Peterbilt semi northbound on Hwy. 60, pulling an empty liquid tank trailer. Scott Hoenke, age 31, of Sidney, MT, was driving a Western Star semi eastbound on 490th Street. Hoenke was pulling a livestock trailer, loaded with cattle. The two trucks collided at the intersection.

Reynolds was taken to the Orange City Area Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The truck driven by Reynolds sustained approx. $15,000 in damage and the truck Hoenke was driving approx $20,000 in damage.

Hoenke was cited for Failure to Obey a Yield Sign.
