(Primghar)– A car/deer collision Monday evening in O’Brien county sent one person to the hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol says 41-year-old Amy Stief of Cherokee was driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan southbound on O’Brien County Road L36 when whe collided with a deer. The impact caused the vehicle to go into the west ditch, where it came to rest.
A passenger, 77-year-old Donna Stief of Cherokee, was taken to the Sheldon hospital where she wsa treated for minor injuries and relesaed.
The collision took place shortly after 6:30 p.m.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Archer Fire Department and the Primghar ambulance and paramedics.
