Warrant Check Results In Several Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– What started out as a warrant check by a Clay county sheriff’s deputy resulted in several arrests Monday.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy conducted a warrant check shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday at an apartment in Spencer for Chelsey Woods, who was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear on the original charge of assaulting a peace officer.

Upon investigating, 21-year-old Trevor Schwidder and 21-year-old Jessy Rouse of Spencer were identified and found to have warrants for their arrests. Schwidder was wanted by Polk county for failure to appear for a probation violation; Rouse was wanted out of Clay county for an original charge of assault on a peace officer. Both men were placed under arrest.

Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia at the residence. Woods was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was held on a $300 cash or surety bond with an additional $1,000 cash or surety bond for the arrest warrant.

19-year-old Misty May of Fostoria was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was held on a $300 cash or surety bond.

Schwidder was held without bond for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, while Rouse was being held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.
