Man Escapes Injury In Fiery Crash

November 22, 2014

(Everly)– An Everly man escaped injury in a fiery crash Tuesday on a Clay county road.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Nathaniel Cline of Everly was driving a 1995 Buick Regal eastbound on 300th Street when he swerved to avoid hitting a dog that ran out onto the road. Cline then lost control, with his vehicle spinning about 180 degrees. It then went into the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on it’s top. It then caught on fire.

Cline managed to get out of the wreckage uninjured.

The vehicle was totaled.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Everly Fire and Rescue, Fostoria Fire and Rescue and the Spencer Ambulance.

The crash took place shortly before 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
