(Emmetsburg)– A single-vehicle crash Tuesday in Palo Alto county sent one person to the hospital.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Collin Thatcher of West Bend was driving a 2007 Chrysler Sebring southbound near the intersection of 560th Avenue and 475th Street and was attempting to make a left turn. Authorities say as he was doing so, the vehicle started to spin to the right, causing Thatcher to lose control. The rear of the vehicle continued to spin, causing the car to go into the ditch where it struck an embankment, coming to rest on its wheels.
Thatcher was taken by private vehicle to the Palo Alto County Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The vehicle was totaled.
Authorities say the crash, which took place around 6:00 a.m., remains under investigation.
