November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– A northwest Iowa man wanted for attempted murder and other charges has turned himself in to authorities.

Emmetsburg police say 32-year-old James Pietrarosso was on the run for almost a month before turning himself in. He’s being held in the Clay county jail on $100,000 bail.

Pietrarosso faces charges of attempted murder, sexual assault, burglary, and violation of a protective order. He’s accused of strangling a woman with a rope, sexually assaulting her and threatening her life.
