November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– Two Sibley men face charges and are being detained by federal immigration officials following a traffic stop Tuesday in Sibley.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says a subsequent investigation stemming from the stop resulted in the arrest of 34-year-old Lopez Moreno of Sibley on charges of failure to have a valid license, failure to prove security against liability and open container.

21-year-old Lucio Lopez Cruz of Sibley was charged with open container.

Both were booked into the Osceola county jail and were being held on cash bonds and on the detainers filed by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.
