(Spencer)– A Spencer man wanted on a Dickinson county warrant is also now facing drug charges following a consent search of his residence.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy conducted a warrant check for Christopher Hegel at a residence on East 3rd Street in Spencer.
Hegel was wanted on a Dickinson county warrant for disorderly house.
Upon making contact with Hegel the deputy believed Hegel was in possession of a controlled substance. A consent search of the home was then conducted, which turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Hegel was transported to the Clay county jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say additional charges are pending.
