(Spencer)– The oath of office was administered Tuesday to Clay county’s newest Sheriff’s Deputy.
21-year-old Spencer Taylor was sworn in by Joe Skow, Chairman of the Clay County Board of Supervisors.
Deputy Taylor is formerly from Armstrong. He recently graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in criminal justice and will now go through 14 weeks of training at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy beginning January 3rd.
Sheriff Randy Krukow says Deputy Taylor replaces Deputy Jeremy Bellis, a 9-year veteran who took a job as deputy with the Monona County Sheriff’s Office.
