(Estherville)– The first day of competition in the Annual Jazz Band Contest at Iowa Lakes Community College has been completed. Winners from Wednesday’s competition include:
Class 1A:
1st-Central Lyon (directed by Sherwin Langholt)
2nd-Woodbury Central (directed by Mark Cripss)
3rd-Gehlen Catholic (directed by Paul Niebuhr)
Class 3A:
1st-MOC-Floyd Valley (directed by Kevin Linder)
2nd-Storm Lake (directed by Jason Heeren)
3rd-Spirit Lake (directed by Jody Ingwersen)
Thursday will feature Class 2A and 4A bands.
