(Spirit Lake)– 14 northwest Iowa high school jazz choirs participated Monday in the Iowa High School Music Association State Jazz Choir festival at the Sami Bedell Center for Performing Arts. Locally, all three Dickinson county schools, Harris-Lake Park, Okoboji and Spirit Lake all received a Division One, Superior rating for their Jazz Choirs.
The next performance by the Spirit Lake High School Jazz Choir will be at the Audubon Jazz Festival February 13th. The Okoboji High School Jazz Choir will be performing February 21st at the Western Iowa Tech Jazz Festival in Sioux City. The Harris-Lake Park High School Jazz Choir will perform in their annual swing show February 24th.
