(Superior)– The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has released details into an incident last Saturday that resulted in multiple charges against a Superior man.
Authorities say it stems from a 911 call made to the Dickinson County Communications Center around 8:20 that evening from a residence in the 1200 block of 330th Avenue north of Superior. The caller stated that a domestic assault had occurred and that a firearm had been displayed. A woman escaped the residence on foot. She was located by deputies a short time later and was taken to safety.
Deputies then closed off the area around the residence and a tactical team was activated.
Authorities located 48-year-old Bryan Heebner of Superior at 9:40 p.m. about 3/4 of a mile from where the alleged incident took place. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon…a class “C” felony; domestic abuse assault and reckless use of a firearm…both aggravated misdemeanors; false imprisonment…a serious misdemeanor; operating while intoxicated…first offense; failure to use headlamps when required and open container.
The Spirit Lake Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
