Fire Alarm Calls Keep SL Firefighters On The Run

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Fire alarm calls have kept Spirit Lake firefighters on the run the past day or so.

Fire Chief David Kollasch says crews were called shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday to the former Antler’s Hotel building in downtown Spirit Lake. Kollasch says some dust is believed to have triggered the alarm. Firefighters were on the scene about an hour.

Spirit Lake fire fighters were called around 4:30 this (Fri.) morning to a report of a fire alarm going off in the main lodge building at Cutty’s Resort. Kollasch says firefighters could not detect an odor of smoke. They left the scene after checking things over for about an hour and re-setting the alarm.
