Hwy 60 Crash Injures One

(Heron Lake, Mn.)– A single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Highway 60 at Heron Lake, Mn. sent one person to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 24-year-old Robin Songkham of Brandon, South Dakota was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla eastbound. Troopers say the vehicle went off the road to the right and that Songkham over-corrected, causing the vehicle to skid back across the eastbound lanes. It traveled through a median, hit a sign and continued across the west bound lanes before coming to rest in the westbound ditch.

Songkham was taken to Sanford Hospital in Windom for treatment of minor injuries.

Severe damage was reported to the vehicle.

The crash took place around 8:30 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Heron Lake Police Department.
