D.O.T To Hold Public Input Meeting

November 22, 2014

(Ames)–The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold four public input meetings, including one in the Iowa Great Lakes, later this year to hear ideas and comments from citizens concerning transportation policies and programs.

One of those meetings is scheduled for October 9th in Okoboji. A news release doesn’t mention a time or location for the session.

Those wishing to address D.O.T commissioners, who will be present for the sessions, should contact the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Office of Program Management at (515) 239-1148. You’re asked to include the general topic you wish to discuss. The meetings are not intended to address issues regarding specific projects or projects under construction. Comments and presentations should be limited to 20 minutes or less.

Representatives of regional planning organizations, cities, counties, chambers of commerce, economic development groups and transportation providers are encouraged to attend, along with other interested groups and individuals.

In addition to Okoboji, public input meetings are also scheduled for April 10th in Burlington, June 12th in Des Moines and August 14th in Clinton.
