Several NW Iowa School Districts Receive Grants To Replace Old Buses

November 22, 2014

(Des Moines)– Six school districts have been selected to receive up to $38,000 to replace their oldest school bus with new models that have fewer emissions.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources provides the money through the Federal Clean Diesel campaign sponsored by the EPA.

The schools to be reimbursed for a new bus are Albert City-Truesdale, East Union, North Iowa, Rock Valley, Harrison and Westwood.

The districts will also receive reimbursements to install equipment to reduce emissions on buses older than 2004.

The Sibley-Ocheyedan district will get money for emission reduction equipment only.
