(Milford)– Okoboji High School’s Jazz Band and Jazz Choir competed in the USD Coyote Jazz Festival Thursday in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Boji Voices won 1st place in class 2A with Devan Hanna and Jordan Hanson winning Outstanding Soloist/Musicianship Awards in vocal jazz.
The Okoboji High School Jazz Band won 1st place in Class 2A, followed by Alta-Aurelia in 2nd, South O’Brien in 3rd, Rock Valley 4th and Saint Thomas More 5th.
Okoboji will perform at the Iowa Jazz Championships on April 10th at 3:45 p.m. at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. This will be Okoboji’s 18th consecutive appearance at that event.
