(Mountain Lake, Mn.)– A head-on collision Sunday on Highway 60 east of Bingham Lake sent three people to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 76-year-old Dolores Peters of Mountain Lake was driving a 1996 Honda Accord eastbound when the vehicle slipped off the road and went onto the shoulder, causing Peters to lose control. The vehicle then crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by 16-year-old Alexander Sorensen of Comfrey.
Peters, Sorensen and a passenger in Sorensen’s vehicle, 58-year-old Damone Sorensen of Comfrey, were taken to Sanford Hospital in Windom. All three were treated and released.
Severe damage was reported to the vehicles.
The collision took place shortly before 12:30 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office.
