(Des Moines)– Several northwest Iowans have been appointed to state boards and commissions. Governor Branstad’s office announced the appointments today (Thurs.), pending confirmation by the Senate.
Linda Wessels of Rock Valley was appointed to the Iowa Autism Council; Rae Miller of Fonda was appointed to the Early Childhood board; Mike May of Spirit Lake was appointed to the state Board of Education; Bradley Hawn of Spencer was appointed to the Board of Mortuary Science; Mabel Mantel of Orange City was appointed to the Board of Nursing Home Administrators; Edward McKenna of Spirit Lake was appointed to the Board of Pharmacy; Mindy Feilmeier of Spirit Lake was appointed to the Board of Podiatry; and Lee Schoenewe of Spencer was appointed to the Real Estate Appraiser Examining Board.
The terms begin May 1st.
