(Ames)– A lakes area restaurant has been nominated through a promotion by the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association and the Iowa Beef Industry Council as being in the top 10 having the best burger. The Ritz in Arnolds Park is among those finishing in the top 10 in the Iowa Best Burger Contest.
In it’s third year, the contest received over 4,250 nominations that named 212 restaurants. Nominations for the contest were made from February 13th through March 16th. The top 10 restaurants were the top vote-getters when all on-line paper and faxed ballots were counted.
The top 10 restaurants will be visited by a secret panel of judges who will evaluate the nominee’s hamburgers on several factors, including temperature, appearance and taste.
The winner will be announced the first week of May as a kick-off to May Beef Month.
