(Ayrshire)– Minor injuries were reported Thursday when a motorcyclist took evasive action to avoid hitting a deer in Palo Alto county.
The Sheriff’s Office says Tyler Olson of Ruthven was driving a 2012 Honda motorcycle westbound on a county road west of Ayrshire when a deer ran out onto the roadway. As olson was slowing, two more deer ran onto the road. Olson managed to miss hitting the animals, but the motorcycle wound up on its side.
Olson sustained minor injuries but declined treatment.
Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at $2,000.
