(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop late last (Sun.) night on Highway 71 near the Stables resulted in the arrests of two teens on drug charges.
The Spirit Lake Police Department says the stop was conducted shortly after 11:30 p.m. A subsequent investigation resulted in officers finding what’s believed to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the vehicle’s two occupants.
18-year-old Ty Jackson of Spencer was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, first offense…a serious misdemeanor; and 18-year-old Brandon Wassam of Spencer was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
Both were booked into the Dickinson county jail.
