(Spirit Lake)– Officials have announced plans for this year’s Memorial Day program in Spirit Lake.
Planners say this year’s event will feature a flyover by a Fighting Falcon F-16 jet from the U.S. Air Force 132nd Fighter Squadron in Des Moines. The flyover will immediately follow the playing of the National Anthem by the Spirit Lake High School Band at 9:50 A.M.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Major Melanie Englert, Special Assistant to the Chief of Outreach, Public Affairs at the U.S. Strategic Command at Offut Air Force Base in Omaha.
