(Spirit Lake)– A motorcycle crash Monday evening on Highway 86 near Cutty’s Resort injured a Spirit Lake man.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Tyler Reiter of Spirit Lake was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson northbound when the front fender came loose. It came into contact with the front tire, causing the front wheel to lock up. Reiter then lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle onto the pavement.
Reiter was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. There was no immediate word on his condition or nature of injuries.
$2,000 in damage was estimated to the motorcycle.
The crash took place around 7:45 p.m.
