(Spirit Lake)– Traffic and safety concerns in the Triboji Beach area came up for discussion at Tuesday’s Dickinson county board of supervisors meeting.

The residents are requesting the county, which has jurisdiction over the area, to either put in speed bumps or additional signage. County officials expressed concern over speed bumps, saying they would be a liability. Instead, they directed the County Engineer to paint “stop bars” on the pavement near stop signs in the Triboji Beach area. They’re also sending a letter to the Sheriff’s Office requesting increased patrol of the area.
