Republicans For House District 2 Sound Off In Debate

(Spencer)– Jobs, the environment, property tax reform and school start dates were among the issues surfacing in a debate Thursday evening in Spencer featuring the two Republican candidates running for the House District 2 seat. Megan Hess and Josh Davenport will square off in the June 5th primary.

Both candidates agreed with late school start dates after Labor Day, adding the policy should be uniform. And when it comes to increasing efficiencies, Hess recommended combining the state’s three regents universities, especially when it comes to administrative areas.
