Incident At Clay County Campground Results In Drug Charges Against Two Men

(Spencer)– An investigation by a Clay county sheriff’s deputy on routine patrol at a campground over the weekend landed two men in jail on drug and alcohol charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the deputy was on patrol shortly after 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Kindlespire Park in Clay county when he observed two males in possession of what’s alleged to be a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and alcohol.

Upon investigating, 20-year-old Kyle Fuhrman of Spencer was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and minor in possession of alcohol.

19-year-old Grant Stanley of Storm Lake was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver…a class “D” felony; and minor in possession of alcohol…a simple misdemeanor.

Authorities say charges are pending against two other adult males.
