(Spencer)– Spencer Police Chief Mark Lawson says authorities were called to the Spencer Aquatic Center shortly before 2:30 p.m. after getting a report of a six-year-old that had been found unresponsive in the water.
Upon arriving officers found life guards administering CPR to the child, who was then transported by ambulance to Spencer Hospital. The child was then transferred by air to a Sioux Falls hospital. No condition information was immediately available.
Lawson says no additional information into the incident will be released until all family members have been notified.
