(Spencer)– Officials have released a few more details into the near drowning Wednesday of a six-year-old child at the Spencer Aquatic Center.
Police say the boy, who’s from Spencer, was in critical condition Thursday afternoon at a Sioux Falls hospital.
The boy’s name has not been released.
Police say even though their investigation continues, that based on what they’ve learned so far, no foul play was involved.
Authorities were called to the Spencer Aquatic Center shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday after getting a report that a young boy was unresponsive in the pool. Pool staff members were administering CPR when police and EMS personnel arrived.
