(Spirit Lake)– A car-motorcycle collision that took place around noon Thursday at the intersection of Highways 9 and 71 and County Road M-56 on the east side of Spirit Lake sent one person to the hospital.
Spirit Lake police say 49-year-old Darcy Heebner of Spirit Lake was making a left turn onto the highway when she turned into the path of a northbound motorcycle driven by 55-year-old Daniel Holcomb of LeMars.
No injuries were reported to either Heebner or Holcomb. A passenger on Holcomb’s motorcycle, Sheila Holcomb of LeMars, was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare.
Heeber was cited for failure to yield and no proof of insurance.
