Nw Iowa STEM Hub Manager To Be Hired Soon

(Spirit Lake)– We should soon know who will serve as Manager of the northwest Iowa STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics hub.

STEM is an initiative by Governor Terry Branstad designed to spur interest among young people in those areas of expertise. Val Newhouse is the President of Iowa Lakes Community College, which is one of six hubs in the state, representing the northwest quarter of Iowa…(click here for comment from Newhouse.)

Newhouse is hoping to have some representatives from northwest Iowa on the STEM council, which will be appointed by the Governor. She says the deadline in which to apply is quickly approaching…(click here for comment from Newhouse.)
