Minor Injuries Reported In Clay County Crash (1)

(Spencer)– Minor injuries were reported Sunday in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 71 in Clay county.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 41-year-old Kue Hser of Storm Lake was driving a 1996 Plymouth Voyager van northbound in the 3700 block when she lost control. The vehicle went into the west ditch and continued to travel into a soybean field before coming to rest.

Hser sustained minor injuries but declined immediate treatment. No injuries were reported to four passengers in the vehicle.

$2,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department, Spencer Fire Department, Royal Rescue and Spencer Hospital.

Hser was charged with failure to maintain control.

The crash took place around 11:00 a.m.
