Bible Conference Gets Underway

(Arnolds Park)– The Okoboji Lakes Bible and Missionary Conference got underway this past weekend on the conference grounds in Arnolds Park and continues through this coming Sunday, August 12th. Conference Coordinator Jody Van Kley tells KUOO news this marks the 78th year for the event, which once again features a number of keynote speakers, including author Mark Mittelburg…(click here for comment from Van Kley.)

Van Kley says if the opening weekend of the conference this past weekend was any indicator, they could be in for a record-setting year for attendance. She says more than 1,400 people attended the opening concert this past weekend. She says on a typical year, the event draws an average of 9,000 people over the course of it’s run…(click here for comment from Van Kley.)

Van Kley says the conference prides itself on offering events for people of all ages. She emphasizes that it’s completely non-denominational.
