(Mallard)– An investigation Sunday into a dip that a confrontaion was perhaps about to take place at a residence in Mallard resulted in the arrest of a Fort Dodge man on drug charges.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says as part of its investigation into the information, a deputy made contact with 55-year-old Mark Bernard in front of the Mallard Convenience store. Bernard was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
Bernard was booked into the Palo Alto county jail pending an initial court appearance.
Authorities say the arrest was made shortly before 7:30 a.m.
