November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– The investigation of a Spencer man in a domestic assault case has landed him in jail on a drug charge.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy went to a residence in Everly late Tuesday night to locate the suspect, identified as Kevin Vail. The deputy made contact with Vail and upon investigating, determined he was in possession of what’s alleged to be a controlled substance.

Vail was arrested and booked into the Clay county jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Upon release from the Clay county jail, he is to be transferred to O’Brien county where Vail faces charges in the domestic assault case.
