(Spencer)– A traffic stop this past Sunday in Clay county resulted in drug charges being filed against a Linn Grove man.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation shortly after 4:30 p.m. in the 4800 mile of Highway 71. The deputy noticed a smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle as he approached it. Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
29-year-old Aaron Grote of Linn Grove was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Grote was released after posting a $1,000 cash or surety bond.
