SL Council Takes No Action On Proposed Kennel Ordinance

(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake city council took no action Tuesday on a proposed ordinance that would regulate the number of dogs a household could have based on square footage of the premises. City Administrator Mark Stevens says there were several issues that led to the proposed ordinance…(click here for comment from Stevens.)

Stevens added there are several areas of the proposed ordinance that could be revisited and revised to address some of the council’s concerns.

The council was scheduled to hold a second reading of the proposed ordinance Tuesday but opted not to do that, pending further review.
