(Spirit Lake)– The city of Spirit Lake has been awarded a RISE (Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy) Grant from the Iowa Department of Transportation for a road project in the East Lake Okoboji Industrial Park.
D.O.T Commissioners approved up to $150,519 at their meeting today (Tues.). The funding will be put toward the construction of about 740 feet of new roadway in the new industrial park being developed on the city’s northeast side. The project will provide access to more than 20 acres in the park, which will consist of light industrial and manufacturing operations.
The project is slated for completion by September of 2013.
