President And CEO Of Northwest Financial Corporation Named Chairman-Elect Of American Bankers Association

(Spencer)—The President and CEO of Northwest Financial Corporation in Arnolds Park has been named chairman-elect of the American Bankers Association’s Board for 2012-2013. Jeff Plagge served the past year as the association’s Vice Chairman.

The American Bankers Association represents banks of all sizes and charters and is a respected voice for the nation’s $13 trillion banking industry and its two million employees.

Plagge is responsible for leading three bank charters within the Northwest Financial Corporation organization. It includes Northwest Bank of Spencer, First National Bank of Sioux Center and First National Bank in Creston. The three banks collectively hold $1.5 billion in assets and have 30 offices throughout Iowa and eastern Nebraska. Other entities within Northwest Financial Corporation include Northwest Wealth Management, LLC and Northwest Commercial Credit Corporation.

Plagge currently serves on the Board of Directors for Delta Dental of Iowa and Shazam, Incorporated. He is also a member of the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank Community Deposit Institution Advisory Council and the Wartburg College President’s Advisory Board. Plagge previously served on the ABA Board of Directors and as Chairman of the ABA Government Relations Council and the ABA Agricultural Committee. He is a former member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the former Chairman of the Iowa Bankers Association.
