(Spirit Lake)– An investigation into illegal drug activity last Friday at a Spirit Lake apartment landed a man in jail.
The Spirit Lake Police Department says officers responded to a report of illegal drug activity allegedly taking place at 2200 23rd Street, apartment 25. Upon investigating, officers obtained and executed a search warrant. It resulted in them finding what’s alleged to be several items of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance believed to be marijuana.
The renter, 23-year-old Johsua Mitchell of Spirit Lake, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
Mitchell was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
