(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run collision that occurred last Friday evening in the 3300 mile of county road N-14.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Jarrett Valen of Spirit Lake was driving a 2000 Saab northbound and a red truck, possibly with duals, was southbound. Authorities say the driver of the truck, which fled the scene, crossed the center line, sideswiping the vehicle Valen was driving.
No injuries were reported. About $2,000 in damage was estimated to Valen’s vehicle. The truck sustained possible damage to the driver’s side.
Anyone with information into the incident or who may have seen it take place is asked to contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
